Lesson Plan

1. Warm-Up (10 minutes)

2. Pizza Vocabulary (20 minutes)

Introduce and explain key pizza-related words:

• Ingredients: dough, tomato sauce, cheese, toppings, pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, etc.
• Verbs: bake, slice, spread, sprinkle, mix, knead, melt.
• Adjectives: crispy, cheesy, delicious, spicy, fresh.

Activity:

• Show real pizza ingredients or pictures and ask students to match the words with the items.

3. Reading & Comprehension (15 minutes)

• Hand out a simple pizza recipe in English.
• Students underline the action verbs and identify key ingredients.
• Discuss: What are the steps for making pizza?

4. Interactive Game: Create Your Own Pizza (20 minutes)

• Divide students into small groups.
• Each group receives a set of ingredient cards.
• Their task: Invent a new pizza flavor and name it.
• Write a short description of their pizza (using adjectives and the new vocabulary).
• Presentation: Each group presents their pizza to the class.

5. Speaking Practice: Ordering Pizza (15 minutes)
